I Want One!

All you Star Wars fans with kids: for just short of $40 you can have your little one sleep in the belly of the beast, just like Luke had to on Hoth in "Empire Strikes Back"! Complete with internal intestines!

Now, if only they would make them in adult sizes (fits children and "small adults" -- I'm assuming that does mean busty 5'10'' pinup girls).

I Want One!

Such a huge fan of the show, and someone else seems to share my obsession of Match Game, for this lunch box creation was part of Something Awful's Photoshop Phriday.
Well I want one!

Thursday's This & That

As I'm spending a little time pampering myself, I can daydream about all the things floating around the internet...

Yay! The video game website play™ reports: "A new Guitar Hero-rival designed for kids has been revealed for the DS and the Wii by Disney. The new game will arrive in autumn." It's called Ultimate Band, and even though "the rhythm-action title is aimed at teenagers and younger kids," I still want it, because it's probably perfect for my skill-level...

And MSTK: The Movie (in widescreen, thankyouverymuch!) is available for pre-order from Amazon.com. "Normal view...normal view...NORMAL VIEW!!"

Well, my birthday's coming up... (*hint hint*)

P.S. Wow, my ass is really hanging out in this picture.

I Want One!

But until I get one, there's this little guy!
At IDoDogTricks.com, you can ask this cute widdle pup to sit, roll over, down, stand, sing, dance, shake, fetch, play dead, and kiss. It's also very cute if you type in a command that he doesn't understand!

Thanks to Pixie for sending him to me!

I Want One: Ford Mustang like in "Bullitt"

Auto Express reports: This is the first picture of Ford's tribute to the classic Steve McQueen film 'Bullitt'. Check out this teaser image of the most muscular Ford Mustang yet. Bosses at the Blue Oval will unveil the special model at next month's Los Angeles show.

Taking its inspiration from the car used by Steve McQueen in the classic Sixties film 'Bulliit', it's sure to be one of the stars of the American expo. Like the 1968 original it will feature distinctive "Highland Green' metallic paintwork and gunmetal grey alloys.

Engineers at the carmaker are keeping tight lipped about the mechanical specification. However, expect to see a supercharged version of the 5.4-litre V8 motor that pushes out a tarmac churning 500bhp. The sprint from standstill to 60mph should take just 4.5 seconds.

The original version became famous after starring in a classic cinematic car chase through the streets of San Francisco. McQueen did most of the driving during the epic seven minute pursuit, for which producers got through two of the iconic Pony cars.

Sweepea-TV: I Want One!

When I exited the grocery store yesterday, this cute little wagging bundle of fluff was greeting me in the car next to mine. (Don't worry, he was perfectly fine in there...it was rather cool out and there were windows down.) Love the little cute eyes.

Friday's This & That: The X-Rays Show...

As I get over the chill of this exam table, here's what's going on in the world:

Jose Luis de Vilallonga, author, aristocrat and actor who starred as the dashing Brazilian multimillionaire in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” died Thursday at his home on the island of Mallorca at the age of 87. A colorful character in Spain’s high society, Vilallonga had worked as a journalist and wrote an official biography of Spain’s King Juan Carlos. A high point in Vilallonga’s acting career came when he was in Blake Edwards’ classic 1961 movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's," playing Jose da Silva Pereira, whom Hepburn’s Holly Golightly planned to marry.

Two new DVD sets are out that you should definitely buy! The Esther Williams Collection gives you five films: "Bathing Beauty," "Easy to Wed," "On An Island With You," "Neptune's Daughter" and "Dangerous When Wet" -- all of my favorites! Among the co-stars are Red Skelton, Peter Lawford, Lucille Ball, Van Johnson, Jimmy Durante, and Ricardo Montalban. These movies also contain some fantastic performances from Helen Forrest, Xavier Cugat, and others of the swinging era of the golden age. (We've discussed many of these movies in previous posts of Van Johnson, Peter Lawford, Helen Forrest, and the Mermaid herself.) Waves of extras include outtakes, cartoons and classic shorts. (Warner)

The Elvis Collection stars the King with a bevy of beauties in this four-disc set. Elvis portrays a boxer, riverboat entertainer, and good-ole-boy in "Follow That Dream," "Frankie and Johnny," "Clambake" and "Kid Galahad." (MGM)

Things to Waste Your Paycheck On

If I had these bacon bandages on a scrape, I'd want to eat my knee. I want to know what made an inventor think, "I know...BACON!" Wait, I say that just about every morning.

Speaking of breakfast, how about the Holy Toast! Miracle bread stamper. You don't have to go on eBay to buy that miracle piece of Mother Mary toast. You can just make your own slice o' heaven at home!

And to spread on top of your Holy Toast...if you're tired of slicing the butter (and who isn't? It's exhausting!) then try the One-Click Butter Cutter. Heck, it's just fun to say.

But an even better miracle...the Answer Me Jesus 8-ball, with responses like "Let me ask my Dad," "I died for this?" or just bluntly "Sinner." (Available in Buddha, too!) Finally, a quick answer to anyone's prayers.

Friday's This & That

This week was a complete bitch, for so many reasons and on so many levels. I'm so glad it's over, because I'd rather be my former sunshine-y Pollyanna self than this bitter old woman I've become.

The only thing that's made me happy within the last week is watching this informercial for the Sweep N Mop. Now I want one. I mean, it's only 2 for $10 (plus S&H)! You can't beat that! Does anyone have one?

Bette Davis' new biography seems to be ultra-kind to her, despite her reputation for being a stage diva.

Errol Flynn's frequent co-star Olivia DiHavilland is featured in an LA Weekly article. She will be honored at the Academy on June 15th, and a tribute will be displayed for her at both the Academy and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from June 15 to July 1.

And Saturday, June 10th (tomorrow!) on TCM at 8 PM (EST, I assume) watch Sunset Blvd. It's also playing Sunday, June 11th at 6PM. This is the movie I raved about previously. The best film-noir movie of them all.

And yes, there will be a Romance Cheese Friday today!

All I Want for Christmas...

I've decided that all I really want for Christmas is a Yorkshire terrier puppy.
But not just any Yorkshire terrier puppy.
This one.
It's the head tilt that's got me.
